CROSS COUNTRY
Panthers Cross Country began in 2024. The team will competes in interscholastic middle school meets with other schools in our area. Athletes will compete in three-kilometer (just under 2 miles) races through the Indiana wilderness. Practices are open to all Northpoint students 2nd grade and up but competition in interscholastic meets will mostly be for students 5th grade through 8th grade. Some younger athletes may be able to participate in the meets if they are competitive against middle school-aged athletes at the coach’s discretion. High school athletes should contact Chad Lesnet for details about their participation and competitions.
At Northpoint Christian Academy, we believe athletics are a powerful way to disciple students while building teamwork, perseverance, and Christlike character. Our volleyball program reflects our passion to educate, equip, and empower students—not just as athletes, but as young men and women of integrity.
Cross Country Season
(mid-July – end of Oct.)
Elementary: 2nd – 6th
Junior High: 7th – 8th
High School: 9th – 12th
Cost: $200 charge per athlete
Summer Workouts: Summer workouts will be on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9 AM. Tuesdays will be at the sledding hill in the Centennial neighborhood in Westfield and Fridays will be at Northview Church in Carmel. Summer practices are optional but highly encouraged. Summer workouts will begin June 16th. There will be no summer workouts on July 4th or July 7th.
Practices: Official practice will begin on Tuesday August 12th right after school. Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40 – 4:40 PM. Tuesday practices will be at the school, but Thursdays may be offsite. We will need assistance with transporting athletes to practices. Practices will be at Heritage Park, Northview Church, Clay Middle School, or other nearby locations.
